Meet Joel Mathis, Owner & Executive Chef
Joel grew up in Binghamton, New York, where pizza isn't just food, it's a way of life. He learned early that good pizza takes skill, the right ingredients, and no shortcuts.
After culinary school at Johnson & Wales University, Joel ran a BBQ restaurant back in New York before moving to South Carolina. He worked his way up to leadership positions with the CRAB restaurant group, handling operations at The Crazy Crab Jarvis Creek on Hilton Head Island. Running the biggest restaurant on the island taught him how to feed a crowd without cutting corners.
Now he brings all that experience to Ralphie's. Every pie that comes out of our kitchen is made the right way, every time.
